Crashing FireFox 1.5.0.{2,3}

I was checking out the website of a friend of mine, and clicked his FTP link on it. Anonymous login using Firefox... However anonymous ftp wasn't correctly setup and it made FireFox crash.

You can test it out yourself at ftp://venere.halma.nl/. Tests point out that FireFox 1.5.0.2 and 1.5.0.3 are atleast vulnerable to this bug. It has been verified on Windows, Linux, Solaris and Mac OS X. It seems the bug is already filed as Bug 336336 at Mozilla.org

Here is a detailed list of versions that are vulnerable:

  • Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060426 Firefox/1.5.0.3
  • Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060326 Firefox/1.5.0.3 (Debian-1.5.dfsg+1.5.0.3-2)
  • Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060510 Ubuntu/dapper Firefox/1.5.0.3
  • Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.8.0.2) Gecko/20060414 Firefox/1.5.0.2
  • Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060426 Firefox/1.5.0.3

Besides FireFox also Camino crashes.

I already reported it through Quality Feedback, but please report it :)
